Sad day!

Well, today has been a pretty rough one so far. We had to put 1 of our cats to sleep this morning because she was really sick and lost a lot of blood and was extremely dehydrated and under weight. So, that started our morning out on a very sad note. Then, Hunter has fallen down the stairs, fell off his bike, hit his head on the basketball goal and caught his toes under the door twice. So, he's had quite the morning. Kira has slept through most of it, but when she woke up, she was NOT a happy camper and was ready to eat. So, mommy had to calm down so she could eat peacefully...yeah right!

But, on a positive note...we are closing on our house Friday at 10:30!!! YEAH!!! Then, it's back to moving again. Oh joy!

Well, I better get going. Still have tons to do this morning to get ready for Friday. I'll blog more updates later!

Zoo Trip!

Hunter riding the "horsey" at the zoo!
Hunter saying HI GOAT!!!
Hunter and Nana checking out the Happy Feets!
Mommy and Kira at the Giraffe exhibit! She was awake for the 2nd half of our trip and was checking everything out!
Hunter and Mommy with the Elephant! This was the last thing that Hunter remembers seeing because after this, he was so sleepy he could barely keep his eyes open.

We had a fun trip to the zoo on the 5th! Hunter loved to see all the animals and he loved to pet the ones at the barn. (Except for the sheep that were attacking us and knocking him over!) Kira slept during the 1st half of the morning and then we stopped to get a snack around 11:30 and she woke up to eat and then was very alert and looking around at everything. She was cooing and almost sounded like an owl in her stroller. At about 12:30, Hunter passed out. He couldn't keep his eyes open any longer. It was the cutest thing! He woke up when we got home and instantly started asking where all the animals were. It was a fun day. I can't wait to go back 1 more time before the end of the summer!

We finally agreed!!!

Well, after a few weeks of tests and negotiations, we have finally agreed on something and we are signing the finally contract today! So, we are still set to close on the 25th (as of right now...and it better not change!) So, it looks like we are going to be home owners in 2 WEEKS!!! YEAH!!! Just wanted to make that update.

Sprinkler Fun!!!

We finally got out the sprinkler that Kyler gave Hunter for his birthday! We started out in the pool with the nice warm water and then we went around front and played in the sprinkler. It was VERY cold water...but Hunter LOVED it! The sprinkler was AWESOME!!! Thank you Kyler (and Heather, Cody, and Ella!) :D After we were finished playing in the water, we went inside and has ice cream and brownies (That I made!!! :D) They were delicious! I did a great job if I do say so myself!

4th of July

Well, Hunter enjoyed the 4th of July this year. We went and bought $20 worth of little fountains, snappers, sparklers and snakes and he has a blast! He helped light some and loved to throw the snappers. We went to the 4th of July parade in Derby and he LOVED the motorcycles, fire truck, ambulance, and helicopter...and of course....the candy!!! Kira enjoyed the day also. She was awake a lot...with all the noise...she couldn't sleep! But, she watched the parade and cooed the whole time. We sat out on my grandma's deck and watched all the neighborhood fireworks and the Derby display and she was awake and looking around the whole time. They both did great this year! I am so happy that my children are not scared of the fireworks!

Swimming!

These are from our 1st time swimming this summer. Nana and Papa bought the kids a froggy pool to have at our new house this summer... (which still hasn't happened)...so we decided to get it out on Saturday. Hunter caled it "Taking a bath..not swimming", but he enjoyed being outside and playing in the water anyways. We're hoping to get the sprinkler the Kyler gave Hunter for his birthday out this weekend! So much fun!

Kira liked the pool for a few minutes and then she was cold and hungry, so we took her out and wrapped her up and I fed her. She was happy after that and decided to lay out by the pool and get some sun (in the shade of course!) We definitely had a fun afternoon that day!
