BUSY TIMES!!!

Well, things are getting extremely busy around here. I'm going to blame the lack of posts on the busy schedule! :)

I have been working on my classroom as much as possible and it's just not coming together. We started in-services on Thursday and I haven't been able to get in my room to get anything done. We also started 2 a day volleyball practices this week so it's been really rough to make the adjustments of being up early, being physically active (I'm super sore!) and being away from my babies over 12 hrs. a day. :( I'm just glad that tomorrow is Wednesday so the week will be half over!

Anyways, here are some pictures of the kids!

Maybe I overreacted?!?!?

I don't know....maybe I am overreacting a little bit about this babysitter. When I picked up the kids today, they had both just woke up from their naps and they were happy as can be. Hunter helped pick up the toys and the pillows and then he gave Jan a hug and we loaded up Sissy and went bye bye. She said that he only cried for about 2 minutes after I left and then he was fine.

On the way home (All 3 blocks) I asked him if he had fun and what he did and he told me that he had fun and he played with toys and kids. Then he said, "I go to Jan's house tomorrow." I think he likes it there...it's just hard getting used to leaving me since he's been with me mostly all summer. So, I'm hoping that this is just him trying to make the adjustment. I'm sure he will be okay in time. We talked when we got home about how mommy has to go to work, but I will be back to pick up him and sissy. He said, "Hunter big boy, no cry." So, I'm just hoping this all gets better once he gets used to it all. We can only hope!!!!!!!!

What a week!

Well, I just dropped the kids off at the babysitter and I was too upset to go to school and work right away so I came home to do a blog. This has been a very rough week for me and for the kids as well.

The kids went to their new babysitter for the first time on Monday. Hunter was playing and Kira was laughing when I left. So, I thought all was good. When I picked up, Kira was screaming (she has an upset tummy I guess.) I held her and she calmed down and was find. Hunter was great at pick up that day. Tuesday, I had a conference in Andover, so my grandma watched them for me! Yesterday, I took them at 10 and once again, Kira was happy and Hunter wined a little bit. But, he was just saying that he just wanted to go outside. She said he was fine after I left. When I picked up, he was whining, "Where's mommy?" and Kira was content. This morning was HORRIBLE!! Kira was happy once again. She always gets to eat right before I take them so she is usually happy. :D Hunter just latched on to my leg and was screaming. I picked him up to give him a hug and he hugged me the tightest he has ever hugged me and didn't want to let go. When I pulled away, he was looking out the window and was crying. I feel like the worst mommy right now. I just want to go get them right now. I don't think he likes it there at all. By this time, I would think he would be getting better with me leaving him, but he's just getting worse. He's not sleeping at night anymore. He wakes up about every hours and cries for me to hold him. When I lay with him, he wakes up every hours just making sure I'm still there. That makes for some really long nights! This is how he has been since we started at he sitters. I don't know what to do. There are not very many options for daycare in this town and the good ones are all full. It's just so frustrating. I don't know what I'm going to do. I can't keep leaving him there if he cries all the time. It's killing me every morning to leave my babies anyways, and when he doesn't want to be there, it kills me.

I am trying to find a new place to go and it's so difficult! But, I just got a call from one that will have openings and I am going to meet with her tomorrow. Hopefully I can find something so I can get him started next week and hopefully have him comfortable before school starts. Keeping my fingers crossed on this!

Just needed to vent for a minute. Now, off to work in my classroom! :D Oh joy!

My Friend Heather

This is Heather at our friend Adriane's wedding. She looked beautiful!
This is Adriane. She looked beautiful as well! Congrats Adriane and Jacob!

I have talked to a lot of you about my friend Heather. Less than a month ago, she found out that she had Stage 4 Melanoma cancer. She has a little boy that is about 5 months older than Hunter and a little girl that is about 4 months older than Kira. So, this really hits home. She has been undergoing a lot of tests and scans and surgery. They have removed all the cancer and she just got the results from her scans yesterday that she is cancer FREE!!! She will be doing some treatments for the next year to help keep it away, so her battle is long from over!!! Please, keep praying for her and her family! They are awesome people and she is a fighter, so I know she can do this!

GO TEAM HEATHER!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

OUR NEW HOUSE!!!!

Hunter's BIG BOY BED!!!
Hunter's basketball goal! Can you tell he is excited?
The new couches and tables.
This is our dresser that goes with our bedroom set. We have to get the bed put together and made before I put pictures of it on here!
Our new table. It's a pub table so it sits up higher and has bar stools for the chairs. 2 were broke so they will be delivering those soon!

Well, we are moved in and still trying to get settled. The garage is still full of stuff and I am hoping that I can park my car in there by the time school starts! It's just really hard to get things done around here with a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Everything I do, Hunter undoes! And, when I get started on something, Kira decides to start crying because she wants her mommy's undivided attention. So, needless to say, the days are pretty much wasted! And the evenings are spent going to Dillons, Walmart, Lowe's, and Orschlins to get stuff to fix everything. I think we are finished with all the big stuff now. So, we can focus on getting the garage cleaned out now!

Our furniture was delivered on Wednesday and I LOVE IT!!! It is so nice to have something to sit and lay on! Hunter got is big boy bed in also and he didn't sleep so well Wednesday night, but he slept for over 8 hours last night so I think he likes it! Now, we just need to get Kira's bed in here and get her room put together and things will be looking better!

Here are a few pictures of the new furniture. I will have some new ones once things get put together more! Hopefully, we can have a little BBQ soon (probably in Sept.) so everyone can come by and see our new house!
