More updates!

Well, the doctor said that it looks like we are still right on track for the 20th! YEAH! I am measuring just right and nothing is happening yet. Hopefully, I can stay at work until the 11th so I don't have to go back at the end of the year! We'll see what Miss Kira has in mind.

The jobs are starting to pop up for me. I've had a couple of schools contact me and there have been a few new posts in the last few days. So, hopefully, things are going to start happening soon! I'm ready to get something lined up for next year! Shawn has an interview on Friday in Hutch with a computer company, so hopefully it will go well! It's a little further out that we were hoping for...but it's a job!

Hunter is growing like a weed! He was helping me get all of Kira's clothes out and washed last night. He was playing with the car seat and has it all buckled up and kept saying "baby sissy's seat" so hopefully he's getting excited! :D His new favorite thing to do lately is say "No whammy, no whammy, no whammy....STOP!" I think we watch too much Whammy and Press Your Luck on the Game Show Network! It's super cute though! He does a perfect impression of the people on there. Fun, fun!

The house hunt is put on hold right now. I'm not making any trips home by myself unless I ABSOLUTELY have to. I don't want anything to happen on the road. So, there are not any trips planned until after Kira comes and we come home to visit everyone! I can't wait! Only 3 more weeks!

House Hunt

Well, we found a house that we REALLY like in Country Walk in Mulvane. Now, we just need to get jobs lined up so we can make a move and buy it! Keep your fingers crossed for us! :D

Easter Weekend!

Well, what a busy weekend we had! We went home on Friday and we were on the go until Sunday night! Saturday, we got up and went to the Easter Egg Hunt at the Sports Complex. Hunter loved it...I think! He did good picking up the candy and putting it in his bag. He would have had more...but he kept wanting to eat it as he picked it up. Silly boy! Then, we went to lunch and home for a nap! After nap time, we decorated eggs with Nana...and that was fun...for a couple of minutes...and then he was bored. Then we celebrated Nana's birthday that evening and I took Nana to Babies R Us to look at some strollers and spent her birthday money on Kira! Happy Birthday Mom! :D Then, we had ice cream and went to bed. Sunday, we got up and Hunter checked out his Easter Baskets and then we went to church. They had an egg hunt after church, but he just wanted to play instead of find the eggs. So, that didn't go so well. Then, we went to Grandma Gasaway's for lunch and another egg hunt. He did pretty good with this one. :D Then he was OUT for a LONG nap! What a busy weekend!

My weekend off!

Well, I owe my parents BIG time!!! Shawn took Hunter to Wichita with him on Friday and my parents kept him all weekend so that I could get some rest! Let me tell you, I took FULL advantage of that! YEAH! I probably slept 1/2 the time and the other 1/2, I did some shopping, got my hair cut, did some more shopping, and did a little work around the house (but not much)! It was fantastic! I definitely feel like a whole new person again. Now, only 5 days and then it's Spring Break with hopefully a whole lot more relaxing and getting ready for Kira! YEAH!

Shawn's interview went REALLY well on Friday. They said that would call him in the next week or 2 and hopefully have some kind of schedule for him. They are not super busy right now, so they can't employ him full time, but they are trying to work him in, because they really liked him! So, keep our fingers crossed on this one! :D

Take care and Happy Monday! Jen :D

Baby, Job, and House Updates

Well, I went to the doctor today and he said that everything looks good. I'm measuring right where I should be and she is active and her heartbeat is great. We're still on track for April 20th! YEAH! I have been having some braxton hicks contractions, but he said they are nothing to worry about unless they are consistent and more painful. So, hopefully we won't have any real contractions any time soon.

The job hunt is still going pretty slowly! I went to the career fair at ESU today, and talked to a few more districts. Hopefully, something will start happening soon. Most of them said they will be hiring starting in April (good timing!) and continuing all through the summer. So, we'll see. Shawn has an interview on Friday, so hopefully it will bring good news! If you hear of any IT (Computer) jobs, please let us know! :D

The house hunt is also going slowly. We can't really do much until 1 of us has a secure job lined up. So, hopefully that will be soon! We have broadened our area and are looking at other towns around Derby, depending on where we end up getting jobs. So, hopefully we will find that perfect house soon! The 2 that we liked in Derby both have contracts on them now, so we are still going to be looking! Keep your ears open for a house for us too! :D

Hunter wanted to take pictures the other night, so we ended up taking one together and I thought it was pretty cute! :) Just wanted to update everyone! Hope you all are doing well! Can't wait to see everyone soon!

Day at the Park!

Well, since Saturday was such a nice day, we decided to go to the park in the afternoon with Nana and Papa! We did A LOT of walking but it was fun to spend some time with them OUTSIDE for once! Here are a few pictures from the day!
